Sensitivity Training: LGBTQ2+

Half-Day Agenda

In this One-on-One training session, participants will explore the history of LGBTQ2+ rights, become more confident with terminology and vocabulary associated with LGBTQ2+ identities, and gain an understanding of the distinctions between sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression.

This LGBTQ2+ sensitivity training session provides participants with:

  • Insight into the lives of LGBTQ2+ identified people
  • Terminology used by the LGBTQ2+ Community to describe their identities and experiences
  • Increased knowledge about history, phobias, myths, stereotypes, and heterosexism as it relates to the LGBTQ2+ Community
  • An understanding of how this information relates to the workplace
  • Tools on how to be an ally and create safe spaces for LGBTQ2+ people
